The first 5 km of the tour are a bike path set in an urban environment between Santa Cristina and Selva di Val Gardena, leading bikers right up to the entrance of Vallunga. Turn onto a path below the ruins of Wolkenstein castle towards the Juac Hut. The path leading to the highest point of the tour, at 2,120 m, is speckled with mesmerising ponds and clearings - time waits for no man, but there’s no harm in stopping for a break at the Firenze or Odles Hut along the way.
Just a stone’s throw away lies an alternative route leading up to Seceda; if you choose to follow the regular route, stick to the woodland path coasting the San Giacomo Church, the oldest church in Val Gardena, and head back to Selva di Val Gardena.

We rented e-bikes in Selva and rode this "easy" round trip to Col Raiser. The first stretch of the path from Selva to Santa Cristina runs along well-developed cycle paths (former railway line). This is followed by the Legendenweg, a slightly gravel path that could perhaps be described more as a hiking trail. At the end of the path is the church of St. Jacob, which is very idyllically situated in a forest clearing. From here you also have a good view of the Lankofel group. This is followed by a short forest trail, which then becomes a gravel forest/road path and leads up to Col Raiser. On the way there we stopped at the Gamsblut hut. On the Col Raiser you pass the mountain station of the cable car and take a trail to the Regensburger hut. After you have passed this, you go downhill on a rather rough gravel path to the Juac hut. From here you also have a fantastic view of the Langkofel group. You continue downhill on a fairly rough gravel path until you reach the crossroads. The crossroads into Langental are easy to ride on because they are finer graveled and better paved. From Langental to the bike rental station, you then go over roads and narrow meadow paths. Despite the easy classification, the tour does require some skill. The rough gravel sections are sometimes very steep and slippery, so you can lose control at times. All in all, it was a nice round trip that also offers great views. We enjoyed them at every opportunity, otherwise the round trip could have been completed quicker.
Very nice tour. I recommend the climb to the Regensburger Hütte from Wolkenstein, as the route here is steeper and more demanding and I prefer the easier version downhill. Regensburger Hut is great. Great panorama with a panoramic view of the Dolomites.
Technically easy panoramic tour, only a few steep ramps have to be mastered - I pushed the bike twice very briefly. The Troi dl Schirlates path under the Gamsbluthütte is forbidden for bikes, I only rode it because almost nobody is out of season now. Otherwise just follow the forest path.
06/29/21: After returning from Bressanone, I got on my bike again. Start in Selva, uphill to the Regensburger Hut and then over Col Reiser and the sunny slopes of the Seceda. Then through the pine and stone pine forests down to Ortisei. When a thunderstorm approaches, parallel the valley road back to Selva. Pictures will be commented on after returning home.
Among other things, the cold bothered me too much, just before the summit nothing worked anymore. Crazy, but sensible...at a 36% incline it was over. But since I really wanted to go to the Seceda summit, I went to the summit lift and was rewarded with a great view. Leaves a project for next time😆

🚵♀️ We rode this MTB route on SUV e-bikes, and it was quite a challenge for us!
I’m in moderate fitness shape — a few steep parts made me walk the bike, and I even had a small fall on a downhill turn.
Still, it was absolutely worth it — one of the most beautiful and rewarding rides we’ve ever done.
