The Col de l’Iseran is one of the highest alpine passes ever: Your tour starts at 1,800 meters above sea level and climbs up to 2,764 meters. The starting point Bonneval-sur-Arc is a typical Savoyard, authentic mountain village and is one of the most beautiful villages in France.
Are you ready for the Col, which is among the top 5 toughest climbs in the Savoy? The picturesque high mountain atmosphere in the heart of the Parc National de la Vanoise leaves no room for doubt.
At the beginning the ascent is relatively even, later it is also significantly steeper and the higher you get, the better the view. Since the course consists neither of hairpin bends nor straight paths, it is very varied and entertaining.
For the return trip you can take the north ramp via Val d’Isère, which is usually heavier. Or you just go back the same way - in any case, a brilliant descent is waiting for you!
