Silke received a booklet called "Cycling in the Taunus" (from the Kaub Tourist Information Center) from her boss. Today's tour is based on that. https://taunus.info/angebote/sport-und-outdoor/radfahren/radwege/radrundtour-ems-woersbachtal/r-25/ We moved the start from the car park at the Zissenbach sports complex a few meters to the P+R car park at the entrance to the town because there were shaded parking spaces there. The tour was very varied and easy to ride. The signage was also good. Except for the point when we came to Limburger Strasse in Erbach shortly after the confluence of Dombach and Emsbach and wanted to follow it parallel on the R8. Here there was only a no-entry sign for bicycles and the R8 signs were crossed out. No indication of a diversion and also no indication of which section was closed from where to where. We then drove on the other side of the B8 above over a bumpy dirt road. In Oberselters we tried our luck and came across the planned route again, which we were then able to follow without any further closures. At the Gnadenthal monastery, our drinks supplies had run out. But we were able to get some cold drinks in the small café. Everything is self-service here. The prices are written everywhere and you can pay in a cash box on the counter. In addition to cold drinks, there was also coffee and cake. We went back to Idstein through the Wörsbach valley. A very nice tour in ideal cycling weather. And the tour offers lots of opportunities to rest. There are park benches everywhere...
The start is at the motorhome parking space in Bad Camberg http://www.stellplatz-stellplaetze.com/BadCamberg.htm
Meeting point of today's tour was Idstein. Because of Volker and Günther's failures, I took over the tour. The weather was cool but we had sunshine all day. This time we stopped for a lunch break in Oberrupten, in the restaurant "Zum Laubustal". The food was delicious and everyone was happy. After lunch we went back to Idstein on the other side of the Wörsbach. According to the tour plan, this was the last tour for 2022. Let's see if the weather holds, we can still do 1 or 2 tours, at least that was the group's wish! Number of participants 13 people.
This section of the circular tour Ems- & Wörsbachtal can actually be easily and fun cycled. Today it was just too hot, the fun factor lost noticeably at almost 40 degrees in the sun in the Emsbachtal. He certainly didn't want to come back when he went from Walsdorf along the Idsteiner Straße over the sunny hump to Wörsdorf in the Wörsbachtal. After all, there were some shady and cool moments for the body there. Well, that was tolerable. Arriving back at the starting point, a cool wheat beer was due. Lo and behold, hesitantly, the smile reappeared.
Today was the first bike ride in 2025 with my wife. The great weather had to be taken advantage of. What does my better half like to ride the most: the Emsbach-Wörsbach cycle path, of course. It was still a little chilly at the start of the tour, but it slowly became more pleasant. We took a short break in Idstein and even got something to drink. All in all, an ideal day for a nice bike ride 🙃🫠 Wouldn't mind if the temperatures stayed like this 🤭🤗
For a change, I unpacked the bikes and did a little ride to start with.☀️🚲
Nice Sunday tour with wonderful weather and wonderful landscapes

Great tour, mostly paved or at least paved paths with many scenic sections.
And because the paths are so beautiful, there were a lot of cyclists out on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in the great late summer weather. 🙏
