Hiking
A leisurely hike through the original Hornbachtal with a stop at a rustic, traditional alpine pasture - this is what awaits you on this tour. On top of that, there are free views of the majestic peaks around you.
You start at Hinterhornbach that you can easily reach by car. Past the sawmill you follow the well-developed path up the valley. Your hike takes you over flowery mountain meadows, garnished with picturesque huts. If you like to take photos, you are sure to find one or the other nice photo motif here.
After a little more than a kilometer, the trees condense along the way and you walk along the wide riverbed of the Hornbach. The white gravel bed contrasts beautifully with the lush green trees on the banks and the rugged mountains that loom on both sides of the valley. Over a bridge you get to the other side of the river and pass the rustic Drähhüttenalm.
Passing the mighty Saalbach waterfall you will reach the Petersbergalm after five and a half kilometers. Surrounded by mighty peaks, it lies at the head of the Hornbach valley. Here you can get all kinds of delicious home-made dishes. You then hike back to Hinterhornbach on the same path.

But the Alm is called Petersbergalm and there is ski water with bubbles or from our own spring. And the source is in the valley not on the mountain.😁
The Alm is a great mountain bike destination. Also suitable for tours and gravel bikes. - Except maybe …
