From the Hahnenkamm/Kitzbühel over the Jufenkamm to the Pengelstein with breathtaking 360° mountain views and views of the Wilder Kaiser and Kitzbüheler Horn
Today we were supposed to go a little higher up and so we took the Fleckalmbahn to swing us comfortably up 🚡😄 On the way to Pengelstein, the many lifts make it unmistakably clear who is in charge here in winter⛷️⛷️⛷️ Some fairly new, partly elaborately built MTB trails attract the audience of tomorrow and ensure that hikers and bikers don't get in each other's way come👍 The mountains were a little hidden in the haze today and so from the premium viewing points you could only imagine what a fantastic panorama is offered here when visibility is good🤷♂️
For today, due to the summer heat, we were looking for a more relaxed and watery hike. With such demands, there is probably no way around the fantastic 4-lake hike in Brixental. Our starting point for the tour is the Ehrenbachhöhe, which can be reached either on foot or with the Fleckalmbahn or Hahnenkammbahn. From here, a signposted path leads through gentle alpine pastures directly to the Brunnsee. Once there, we can hardly believe our eyes: there it is, the turquoise-blue shimmering lake in whose clear surface the surrounding mountain ranges are reflected. All around, a few cows are grazing comfortably and in general this lake has a very calming atmosphere, which with a few resting places just invites you to take a snack break. After a long break, we continue to hike to lake number 2 - the Pengelsteinsee. This is only about a 10-minute walk from Brunnsee and is a similarly beautiful mountain lake. After another 10 minutes we reach the Usterkarsee. We can't help but be amazed and feel really refreshed by the crystal clear water. Since we have extremely extended one or the other break, we are a little late in the end and unfortunately have to skip the last lake of the planned tour - the Ehrenbachhöhesee. The tour is not only a dream tour for the "mountain-loving eye", but also a suitable hike for families. The lakes invite everyone to take short breaks and the not too big round tour offers the all-round package for everyone. {0} {1}
