Hiked the Eifel theme trail no. 1 today. No idea why beavers are mentioned in the name of the tour, we saw no sign of a beaver or even the remotest hint of its presence. Nevertheless, a nice tour along streams, even if there was little water due to the dry summer. Otherwise, there is a lot of walking through the forest or along the edge of the forest, mostly on wide but beautiful paths. The path down to the Rur is slightly overgrown with stinging nettles and blackberries and is a bit exposed in small places. Some caution is required here. The route is slightly different from the tour we downloaded from the internet, but this has no effect on the overall length. It is signposted clockwise only.

Today we needed shade and water. Half past ten from the Scheidbaum car park. What a nice round, a lot of forest, trails, meadow views. Somehow at the Schlehbachtal there was a 🦗fest, it was just like stone pine everywhere. I particularly liked the rest area on the Rur beautiful in the shade, only the rustling of the Rur, shoes from the feet smoked into the water ... wonderfully refreshing 🌊😅 . I took a break there and didn't want to leave. Then we went on towards evenings and Blens. Unfortunately from there it was only steadily uphill (I thought yes, but it was already warm). Today I thought for the first time Silke pinch her ar ... if you make a folding chair here nobody will find you🤦🏼♀️💪. So go up the mountain with constant pause, some laugh over 11% for me in the heat, borderline 🤷🏼♀️ although it also went through the forest. Well I arrived home 🤣🤣 ... Spontaneous, good idea from Jonas... the tour was set up on komoot. Except for some very wet spots, it's very nice to walk and offers some nice spots. Even if the last climb was not compatible with my winter fitness. 🤭
We did this tour. Too little information for a themed hike. As a tour to discover beavers = disappointing, since the Birgeler Jungle is nicer. The condition of the paths leaves a lot to be desired. We were traveling with day tourists from Holland and friends from Krefeld, they were rather disappointed. It would have been better to have done an Eifel loop..
A beautiful tour, beautiful colors of nature at this time of year. The right one is round with the nose pointing inwards, only for experienced hikers with good shoes. But exciting! Great
