From the ship landing stage in Salet on the Königssee, a level footpath leads past the Salet-Alm restaurant directly to the west bank of the Obersee. There you have a fantastic view of the lake and the mountain scenery behind it. Incidentally, the large boulders on the roadside between Königssee and Obersee originate from a rockfall in 1172.

From the Obersee, there is the option to hike on to the Fischunkelalm on the opposite shore of the lake. This path is no longer accessible from the Obersee (rock steps).
The walking time is approx. 1 hour (depending on the person).

Easy walk with no incline.

Please note that the difficulty ratings of the tour portals and signposts in the terrain may differ. Your tour planning should be adapted to your physical condition, which is why we ask you to always consider all factors and not to disregard the signs in the terrain!

The difficulty ratings on the signposts in the terrain correspond to the path categories of the DAV (German Alpine Club). This tour is marked in yellow and is therefore considered an accessible path. The paths are wide, have no or only slight inclines, and there is no danger of falling.

GETTING THERE PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Usually free with the guest card of the valley communities (exceptions possible).
It is best to get off at the "Königssee" stop. From there, it is only a few meters (approx. 350 m) on foot to the ship's landing stage.

Salet Pier at Lake Königssee

Last stop and turning point for shipping on the Königssee. Beautiful hikes start from here around the Obersee, to Fischunkelalm or to Rötbachfall. From late morning onwards, it can get very crowded here. Those who want to enjoy a bit more peace and quiet should take one of the earlier boats.
