Graveltour Bad Herrenalb – Winter.Gravel.Sweat

Your Black Forest adventure starts at the Siebentäler Therme in Bad Herrenalb. On the round you can expect an exciting mix of beautiful gravel roads and asphalt side roads in the middle of dense forests.

The first eight kilometers you roll comfortably through the Alb valley to the north. On this section, you have permanent beautiful views of the Frauenalb monastery ruins, around which many legends are entwined. After you have admired the building from a distance, you branch off in Marxzell onto a quiet side route. From now on it's steadily uphill. Thanks to the lower speed that uphill passages bring, you can enjoy the beauty of the Black Forest Middle / North Nature Park to the fullest.

After the village of Dobel, it continues undulating. You take some of the most beautiful gravel roads that the northern Black Forest has to offer under your tunnels. Magnificent views of Bad Herrenalb make this section particularly impressive. Then you have to really pedal again to master the altitude difference to the Hahnenpfalzhütte. Once at the top, you will quickly forget all the hardships. Because the view is simply great when the weather is good. In the further course of the tour you pedal to the Teufelsmühle, which is 908 meters above sea level. Here, too, you will be rewarded once again with a wonderful Black Forest panorama and a fantastic view of the Rhine valley up to the Vosges. And with a bit of luck you can watch numerous paragliders at this point.

When you've had enough of the fantastic view, you roll back on paved paths to the starting point of the tour, where you can end the day in the beautifully located thermal bath with an extra portion of wellness.
