Hallertau hop tour

On this approximately 180-kilometer-long round trip, you'll be traveling through the hilly landscape of the Hallertau hop country: you'll cycle through river valleys, exciting cities and, of course, the hop gardens with their hop vines that are up to seven meters high. Because of the many accommodations along the route, you can easily split the tour into several stages. You can also choose the starting point freely; on this tour, you start at Neustadt/Donau train station.

The Hallertau hop tour can be individually modified or shortened via five cross-connections, known as clasps. On your bike, you'll cycle up and down typical Hallertau farmhouses in a relaxed up-and-down fashion, reaching wonderful viewpoints and impressive churches. You can fortify yourself with culinary delicacies on every corner, because the Hallertau promises countless places to stop for refreshments and shady beer gardens.

Due to its central location, the Hallertau Hop Tour is connected to well-known long-distance cycle routes such as the Danube Cycle Route, the Isar Cycle Route and the Munich-Regensburg-Prague Cycle Route.
