Gravel riding

If you want to collect kilometers, you've come to the right place on this lap. As a day tour with a gravel bike, the trip around Hamburg is an unforgettable experience and a challenge at the same time. Divided into two or more stages, the tour can be ridden by everyone - even with a trekking bike.

It starts at the Teufelsbrück ferry pier. To start with, you take the ferry to Finkenwerder, where you cycle around the Alte Süderelbe. Through the Alte Land it goes to the Harburg Mountains, where you can pedal a little harder for a moment.

After you have crossed Harburg, it goes over the Süderelbe to the north. Here you make a detour through the port of Hamburg and then accompany a piece of the Dove Elbe. Via Billwerder you continue north, where you will pass Lake Boberger See and cycle through Öjendorfer Park.

At Tonndorf you cross the Wandse and pass the trotting track a little later. In Ohlsdorf with its imposing cemetery you reach the northernmost point of the round. From here it goes past the airport, via Eidelstedt and through the Altonaer Volkspark and the Loki-Schmidt-Garten back to the Teufelsbrück ferry pier.

Beach at Boberger See

The Boberger lake is located in the middle of the nature reserve and has a swimming area for the gliding area, which is well visited in summer.

Lush green lawns on rolling hills, curved paths accompanied by small streams. Tulips cuddle up to white-flowering panicle bushes: the image of a southern English park landscape.
The little spot of nature “Am Luisenhof” near the Farmsen U1 stop is not a park, but a green belt at the Barenbleek flood retention basin.
This will tame the Osterbek stream if it overflows its banks.
Barenbleek's floodplains extend from the Luisenhof to the Berberweg at the former Farmsen trotting track, the equestrian mecca of the 1920s. The southern entrance to the elongated green area is on Berberweg. Moor enthusiasts will find their outdoor course here.

Bramfelder Lake

Highlight (Segment) • Lake

A route about one kilometer long, beautiful to drive along the Bramfelder See, which is a local recreation area for all of the steep shoop. If you want, you can also go around the entire lake. The route is about three kilometers long and is also very nice as a hike.

A beautiful route worth riding. Probably even nicer with less wind, rain and flat tires.

Hey. Finally visiting my personal favorite German city again😍. I absolutely had to go back. The plan for this tour was to do a circular tour of Hamburg without leaving the green belt. And it worked out. The exciting thing was that I drove through countless parks and, above all, allotment gardens, which were very crowded on May 1st with …

Very nice, very green circuit around Hamburg. Can be done almost without GPS support, strange mini-detours result from the sometimes somewhat sparse "11" signage. And when it comes to the altitude, Komoot or my phone mercilessly overperformed, if that was 800 meters, I could easily ride up Mount Everest, I'm that fit.

Today I did a standard route that I thought I had never ridden before. In the end, I already knew everything except Eichbaumsee. 😊
There was little to see of the surroundings, such fog today! 😶‍🌫️ The ring is generally quite nice and varied to ride. Steilshoop and Harburg could be skipped. It would be even greener if all the …

If you don't believe in "Hamburg, my pearl", we recommend this great tour "around Hamburg". An unbelievable amount of green, many allotments and lots and lots of water really convinced me! The tour comes without busy roads (unless you deviate from the route to stop off) and is well signposted.

Some airport was there today. It should be an honest 100.
At the Volkspark I missed the way to the bridges. Was stupid of me. I lifted the bike over a railing and it was right again.
