For our hike today, we went to Sulzfeld, to the lower car park of Ravensburg Castle. Starting here, we went to the castle, where we took a quick look through the open main gate. Follow the vineyard wall..., over pieces of tree..., through a hole into the valley. We passed the former Seemühle, or rather the local nursery, which we visited and were more than just surprised. (see recommendation) Leaving the path again, we headed uphill and followed the dry stone wall. Old vineyard houses and clers that fascinated us with history. Deer that were grazing on the vines and thus attracted the wrath of a winegrower. Lizards that were basking in the sun on the stones, etc. Uphill again, we met another hiker with a four-legged friend and we quickly got into conversation and learned a lot about the area and history. Once we arrived at the castle again, we took advantage of the opportunity offered by a castle celebration, which gave us a glimpse into the courtyard.
Beautiful circular walk through the vineyards near Ravensburg Castle. Large parking lot at the castle with a hiking map. The castle is open from Thursday to Sunday during the restaurant's opening hours. Very nice view, the entrance to the tower is currently closed. The path has a steep incline, paths are almost exclusively asphalted and very easy to walk on. The dry stone walls with the old (partly dilapidated) vineyard huts are very interesting.
What do you do on such a beautiful Sunday afternoon? Of course, a short hike in the beautiful Kraichgau region. And what could be nicer for us than a tour around Ravensburg? Unfortunately, everything was closed. But it was still a wonderful walk. https://youtu.be/HyXs-BjKocs?list=RDHyXs-BjKocs
