Climbing, romping and balancing? Reading, playing, crawling and then cooling off again? The large playground at the Fischbach school camp and the adjoining witches' path are fun for the whole family.
Who knows the mountain witch who gave the witches' path its name? Was it the bad, hunchbacked woman with the house on the outskirts of the village? Or was it the redhead who saved her fellow citizens from illnesses with her tea?
Anyone who walks the witches' path will find out more about her - but not only that. Various stations with information boards are laid out in a playful way. For example, children can read, play and romp at a climbing station or a water playground. At the same time, interesting facts about the Rhön cultural landscape and the importance of grazing for flora and fauna are explained. Parents can also enjoy rustic forests and magical far-reaching views of the Thuringian Rhön on the way.
Would you like to cool off? The lively Fischbach spring is particularly popular in hot temperatures. If you haven't seen enough, you can then make a detour to the school in the Grünen Schullandheim Fischbach or visit an apiary. The entire circuit is very easy to navigate with a stroller.
Tip:
A real insider tip is the witch's magic on the winding paths in the Fischbacher Flur. Here you can see amazing things.

Tour 2 took us to Fischbach in the Rhön to the Witches' Path 🧙♀️ A beautiful hiking trail with lots of different stops, some of which lead through a wonderful beech forest. It's just a shame that the waterfall is no longer accessible and that there is no touring stamp for children 💚
Today we walked one of the award-winning day tours of 2024. It was very funny because there were numerous explanatory panels about the plants and animals in this area. Including many about early bloomers and orchids. And the witch Kasara has lots of stories for the little ones. A lovely tour for young and old. 👍👋🐝
Today on German Unity Day we took a short hike, not to say a walk. 😆...A beautiful tour with lots of surprises, especially for children. Many benches invite you to linger...
🎯: Witches' Path 🅿️: Witches' Path ↔️: 7 km ↗️: 170 m elevation ↕️: 530 m 🗽: 🌡: 16° 🌥☁️ 🌲🌳: 60 % 🔝: ★★★★★ 🅿️ On the Witches' Path or along the road. Spaces are limited at weekends. You can do 3 different routes. A 2, 4 or the large 6km loop. Ideal if you don't want to hike the full length. 😃 Otherwise there are plenty of places to sit on the tour, some with very nice views. 🔭🪑 Now I'm not surprised that the tour took third place as Germany's most beautiful hiking trail. 🥉 Wonderful tour with lots of information boards about the region/nature. And small signs about different plants in the Rhön. 🪻💐🌳🌿 Of course the witches can't be missed. 🧙♀️
