Hiking
Unspoilt hiking trails, dense forests, rocky viewpoints and a romantic Wildbachtal - you will not be bored on this nine-kilometer tour. From the small village of Solwaster on the edge of the High Fens, we lead you through a wooded hilly landscape into the valley of the Statte.
It comes out of beautiful old farmhouses out Solwaster. The small windows and thick stone walls of the houses are reminiscent of the fact that there used to be a harsh climate here. After a few minutes you reach the place, which splashing wildly through the wooded valley. Upstream it goes through the forest and on small bridges over and over river. After about four kilometers, a hiking trail bends to the right, which leads to a forest road shortly thereafter. This brings you back above the valley and directly to the impressive Rock Rocher de Bilisse - if you like, you can climb up a light path and enjoy the view. Past the dolmens of Solwaster, you finally hike back to the starting point of your hike.

Very nice walk with the highlights of Solwaster.
Day 3: A walk through the Statte stream valley. A very beautiful walk with some challenging climbs and slippery surfaces. It was enjoyable walking in the snow despite the cold wind. Definitely recommended for summer hiking. The walk can be extended with walk no. 58, but this would be too long for winter hiking because it gets dark too quickly. The total distance would then be 12 km.
Monday July 5, 2021 Very nice walk, starting from Solwaster, along the Statte, passing by the dolmen, the Bilisse rock (bottom and top), the Nutons waterfall and the Nutons hut. Walk to be approached with caution in rainy and slippery weather like today.
Welcome to this walk we take you on an enchanting 7 km long walk on the edge of the High Fens. This route is known for its many small streams, where the water beautifully makes its way over the rocks. Along the way you will pass the impressive Rocher de Bilisse, a million-year-old rock face that adorns the landscape. A perfect resting point is the Cascade des Nutons waterfall, where you can enjoy the serene surroundings. Don't forget to admire the dolmen of Solwaster - these historic rocks date back to the last ice age and are a must-see!
