The first hike this year. A short tour to get into it. The tip came from @Klaus as did the excellent Wellness Hotel Wirler Hof where we stayed. The food is sensational.
Up to the Zeinisjoch, then to the Kopsstausee nearby, the circuit failed because the dam was closed, I wanted to squeeze past the fence but a patrolling security car stopped me 😅 A comfortable, solid hike on narrow roads and forest paths, but it was still very beautiful here. Everything was set up for winter sports, lifts of all kinds, even a gondola station in the valley.....they were already busy preparing for the upcoming winter season, which starts on December 13th.... Even other hikers were here, because the Zeinisee can be reached easily by car. Where hasn't man already spread out everywhere....🤔 On the other hand, it is fascinating to see the ingenuity with which he masters technical challenges, see gondola masts on mountain ridges etc... or the reservoir up here.....the snow sprinklers everywhere were strange. I read that there were 170 in this area... snow security has to be ensured, the money has to roll in... In the second half it started to rain again, so I had to use an umbrella to descend. This was to be my last hike here, so I was happy with the calm and I did feel a little sad; having to stop in the getting-to-know-you phase is a bit mean... But it was nice, because today is not every day, I'll be back, no question!
