Heinrich-Kiener-Hau and Tiefentalwald via Eben-Hochgründeck circuit

A great and somewhat challenging tour with beautiful climbs and fast approaches

Beautiful tour from the Hotel Felsenhof. Beautiful hut. With an electric bike, it's a slightly strenuous but doable route.

The second day was pretty tough. Initially, the path led along the cycle path on Wagrainer Straße, before heading straight up the ascent in Moos. First moderately on the asphalt road, then later on partly loose ground with sections + 20%. At the top it was only 6 degrees. The sun didn't come out until after the stop, so it got noticeably warmer right away. The improving weather persuaded me to make a detour to the summit cross. Then the looong descent with a few small counter climbs. Arrived back in Flachau, cleaned the bike and picked up a finisher beer. After the shower, the afternoon program was still on the list. Conclusion: great round, unfortunately I didn't see that much due to the weather. Repeat: absolutely!

Sooo....saddled up in the morning and cycled the beautiful Hochgründeck circuit. In fantastic weather and old school but new school 😁 I cycled up there with a 26 inch hardtail + 9-speed gears👍. What can I say, chain on the right and actually overtook 29ers and e-bikes that were pushing and panting. It's still okay 😉. It doesn't always have to be the premium carbon 12-speed di2I'll put my feet up and let me navigate via the app over the race planer. Fun is always what you make of it. Just do it. At least that's what we think, alongside the Frauenalm circuit, one of the most beautiful tours in the Flaucher area. Have fun riding, enjoy sports and......... chain on the right. Yes, the last climb is a "board" up to the Heinrich Kienle Haus, but it's worth it for the view.

Unfortunately, I had to shorten the planned tour. Wasn't fit enough for the demanding track today. However, we had the best weather, a good mood and brought great photos with us...📸

Old school is the new new school, true to the motto we grabbed our 26 inch hardtails and did the Hochgrüneck circuit from Reitdorf. Sheeee woa's. Fantastic weather, plenty of sun and a good mood. Slowly rolling in until Eben. And from there the long one begins Climb to the Heinrich Kiener House, the highest point of the tour. 16 km a constant uphill with a slight downhill in between and then uphill again. You drive through dense coniferous forest on really great forest paths with always fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. Wonderful. And when you think you've made it, there's the final final climb to the Heinrich Kiener Haus, which almost takes the sausage off your plate 😁. 300 steep Wad'lbeisser meters in altitude 😉. To be honest, you're happy when you've reached your destination. The effort is worth it in every case Fall. Return via Wagrain and Höch Castle. We think it's a great round.

I didn't stay long here, briefly enjoyed the view and then on ... HOTZ… ⚡️… what is that ?? really now?? something like that happened to me when a light drizzle🌧 set in… I had eaten up nicely in the last few days… oh what do I say, WEEKS, when I look at the growth in my stomach and you don't need a 🔎… 😅 for that I crossed the town of Flachau and was reassured that the ☁️☁️ had probably made a mistake in the day, place or ⏱ ... Shortly after Flachau there were still remnants of the heavy thunderstorm from Monday evening to 👀 ... some places were cleaned up properly and the paths were cleared of mud and branches ... also the 🚲weg parallel to the 🛣 had gotten something here and there ... For me it was then again away from the 🛣 and up to the last checkpoint of the 🧱👨🏻 Taurista ... just under 1️⃣2️⃣ km at 1️⃣8️⃣2️⃣7️⃣m up to the "Hochgründeck" and actually even a few meters higher, because I drove a little further to the summit❌ ... and who thought that today there would be no dismounting and that the journey should be a kind of children's birthday for Dani ... should be wrong at this point ... 😅 in fact there was a disgusting root passage that couldn't have been more beautiful in 🇧🇪 SCHUB 😅 and the further ascent was partly quite steep and it was called from the 2️⃣. Gear, proper cranking and weight in front of / in the handlebars ... I was no longer alone, there was a out 🇳🇱 in front of it ... Round trip from Eben im Pongau. Forest roads lead through beautiful forests to the summit cross of Hochgrindeck. From the Hochgrindeck mountain restaurant, the final few meters are on foot to the summit, with its magnificent panoramic views.
