A worthwhile short, pleasant walk through now light green deciduous forests with small streams, beautiful paths, and panoramic views of the Aggertal valley. We were able to park at the Paul campsite in Viersbrücken and enjoy the newly reopened beer garden upon our return. Note: Parking is only permitted for guests; a great place to stop for a drink. https://www.dasbergische.de/tour/zwischen-naafbach-und-agger
Very nice hike. However, between Kern and Honsbach the path is almost overgrown and difficult to see. The trees there have been cut down and nature is overgrowing the gap.
Very nice tour between Naafbach and Agger in Eulerthal. Mostly it goes through the forest, which is quite young in places due to reforestation. Walked at around 30 degrees in August. Mostly on the "Bergischer Weg". Really nice circular hike. We did get around 310 meters in altitude though. Distance is fine at a good 9.5 km.
Beautiful hike with a lot of forest. Highly recommended!
Nice tour without big highlights, but still nice for relaxing. I probably wouldn't do it in the summer, as it's rather sunny and too warm 😎
This is what the perfect winter hiking day looks like today. Blue sky, clear air, beautiful scenery, nice hiking route and sometimes birdsong and rippling water. Super nice circular hike!
From Kern, the path leads about 1 kilometer downhill through the Honsbachtal. It goes around the Hasenberg to within sight of the Agger. Near Broich the path leads to the right and 2 kilometers steeply uphill to Leyenhaus. Via Viersbrücken it goes into the Naafbachtal and back to the starting point. Conclusion Mainly forest trails which are muddy according to the time of year. Three climbs that get your legs moving.
