Smell, taste, feel – the approximately six-kilometer-long mindfulness trail is a path for the senses.

Surrender yourself to the beauty of nature, listen to the silence, and taste a sip of the crystal-clear stream water. Let yourself drift and discover the treasures of nature in a completely new way at seven stations along the themed trail with hammocks, stepping stones across the stream, and listening trumpets. Definitely take enough time for this relaxing tour.

On the outskirts of Manderscheid, you walk along the gently babbling Kleine Kyll, past the Heidsmühle. You can keep the cozy establishment in mind for a successful conclusion on the way back of the circular tour. A few hundred meters further, the Marienhütte on a small hill is an ideal place to pause for a moment and breathe in the scent of the forest.
Further south, the Kleine Kyll becomes wilder and playfully swirls in whirlpools. On the opposite bank, you walk through the Wolfsschlucht. Massive basalt columns adorn the path and make the past volcanic activities obvious. The path winds through the picturesque valley and leads you back to the edge of Manderscheid on soft forest floor.

✨ Tour Highlights:
⇨ 0.6 km Marienhütte
⇨ 0.9 km Barefoot bathing spot
⇨ 1.9 km Germanenbrücke (Germans' Bridge)
⇨ 3.0 km Place of Hearing
⇨ 3.6 km Drinking water spring
⇨ 5.1 km Resting place
⇨ 5.7 km View into the valley
⇨ 5.8 km Kneipp wading pool

Barefoot Bathing Spot on the Kleine Kyll

Highlight • River

Directly at the bridge is a small barefoot bathing area with a sand and pebble beach

At first glance, this little river does not give the impression that this was once a waterfall. The Germanic bridge is a beautiful overpass. From here you have the most beautiful view.

Whirlpools of the Kleine Kyll

Highlight • Natural Monument

A beautiful and very exciting way. It's definitely worth not taking the signposted shortcut back to the Heidsmühle, but rather climbing up the Wolfsschlucht - it's sure to be a lot of fun for little mountaineers too.

Basalt Columns in Wolfsschlucht

Highlight • Natural Monument

Perhaps the most beautiful section on the way from Manderscheid to the Windsborn crater lake. The Horngrabenbach eats its way into the terrain as it becomes steeper and steeper. Shortly before meeting the Kleine Kyll, the brook worked its way deep into the lava and an approximately 100 meter long path leads through the gorge. Stones and trees are covered with moss. Moisture is in the air and gives a wildly romantic impression that the photos stored here cannot even come close to reproducing.

Wolfsschlucht (Vulkaneifel)

Highlight • Gorge

A detour to the Wolfsschlucht takes you into another world. The moss-covered rocks, rare ferns and the sound of the stream have their own charm.

Here you can test a buzzing stone, an ear tube and a dendrophone. Different listening experiences with different utensils. Very exciting.

March 2, 2024, HeimatSpur Achtsamkeitspfad Kleine Kyll

After a difficult week, I had to unwind for a bit today on the Kleine Kyll HeimatSpur mindfulness path. The path begins and ends at the “Heidsmühle” in Manderscheid. The absolute highlight is the Wolfsschlucht. You can also skip these and take a shortcut, but that would be a real shame. However, you can also extend the tour, e.g. B. to the Windsborn crater lake and the Mosenberg volcano experience. I didn't dare cross the stepping stones through the small Kyll (picture 65) today because they were completely flooded by the high water level and were very slippery. I'd rather be the other way around 🙈 You can discover more traces of home at @GesundLand Vulkaneifel

After a beautiful tour through the valley of the Little Kyll and through the wild Wolfsschlucht, we wanted to continue the path through a ford, but the water was too deep.

Today only a small but beautiful hike on the mindfulness tour of the Eifelklinik. In the process I got to know an effective anti-sniffing agent. Just reach into a stinging nettle and you won't feel the snail bite anymore😀😀🙈🙈 The tour has several stations with small boards for mindfulness exercises. The scenic highlight is the Wolfsschlucht and a crossing of the Kyll on stones.

I added this second tour to the Burgen Stieg trail. Personally, I didn't like this tour that much. The final loop past the Eifelklinik is completely unnecessary.

This path is pure relaxation and regeneration. Seven stations along the way invite you to look for yourself and find mindfulness. Because just a few mindful moments a day increase the quality of life. This effect can be felt impressively along the way. Collect valuable natural moments, let your thoughts free and find inner balance: that is behind the HeimatSpur mindfulness path Kleine Kyll, which runs below the Mosenberg.

A beautiful, easy hike with nicely designed stations for mindfulness. We took the Wolfsschlucht. Super beautiful, but slightly alpine. But it's only 200 meters. At the end you have to pass the hospital. Awful. Before that you cross a stream. Definitely have a Kneipp bath here if you want. The Kneipp bath at the end is more of a joke and was only 20 cm full of water.

Despite the rain, we set off and were rewarded with a beautiful route and sunshine towards the end. 😍

On this short hike you can take the time to enjoy nature with all your senses
