Inspired by @Holzholgi 🚵♂️⛰️🥾☀️ and @Dennis of the last few days, I finally went hiking in the Hainich again today. The weather was perfect, but the visibility wasn't that great. No matter, the main thing is to get some exercise in the fresh air.
Beautiful tour on the edge of the Hainich. Great views, pleasant paths.
Wildcat Trail (hiking trail) in the Hainich National Park. Very well signposted, there are benches to relax in, suitable for prams. Lookout point (tower) available. In connection with a visit to the wild cat enclosure and the wild cat barn, it is also very informative. Ideally suited for children.
was formerly a military training ground of the Red Army. Super laid out, great view including a view of the Wartburg near Eisenach. It was worth it 😊
The starting point is the hiking car park near Hütscheroda, then we continue to the wildcat enclosure where it is best to buy the tickets in the barn that is located below on the mountain. You should also try to wait for the feeding, as a lot of information about these beautiful animals is passed on. Now we continue towards the national park and to the old oak, the paths are well developed, further to the observation tower where you are also rewarded with a beautiful view. PS. Supports the rangers and the preservation of the Hainich jungle and its inhabitants, the wild cats. well round and have fun
Today we went along the wildcat path. Past the Hainichblick observation tower.
