Rich meadows, views of snow-capped mountain peaks and a beautiful climb: This eleven-kilometer hike up to the Prielschutzhaus is perfect for the whole family. At 1,427 meters, you have a magnificent view and can let your gaze wander over the surrounding mountains of the Dead Mountains.
Starting point of the tour is at the parking lot Posterlucke, three kilometers after the center of Hinterstoder. Immediately dive into the beautiful mountain landscape and wander at the beginning on flat paths on Klinserkogel over.
The actual ascent to the shelter begins at the material cable car. In many serpentines it goes uphill, at the Klinserfall and past large and small caves to the "Thank God Banker". How about a breather?
The path continues through a beech forest. Soon you have reached the Prielschutzhaus and you can treat yourself on the sunny terrace a long break with a great panorama. Return it goes the same way.

Unfortunately the tour was not synchronized by Suunto due to a phone change, so it has been inserted here manually.

Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the summit. Gusts of wind reaching 130 km/h and heavy fog forced me to abandon the hike.
Beautiful but strenuous hike in the Priel region. The Prielschutzhaus is currently closed due to renovation work... only the winter room is open. We gave up the route through the river because of the strong meltwater.
