This route was planned by komoot.
Having to skip the promise made to my son Matteo, to take the Grignetta direct route due to the weather, we settled on something very simple and doable even in case of rain. Playing at home and knowing Bisbino quite well, we pushed ourselves to the refuges in the area on a very simple jeep track almost entirely in the woods to then reach Monte Colmegnone which even on a gloomy day gave us beautiful views of our lake and the villages overlooking here and there. It's nice to see the Brunate lighthouse from here... the changes in perspective are always phenomenal.
Easy ride for the first outing after the injury. Suitable for families.
Fantastic view from the summit of Milan, Lake Como, Lake Lugano, Lake Maggiore. In the background the Alps from Monte Rosa to the Matterhorn and Monte Spluga🥰
With the weather not being great, and passing through Swiss territory, I tried out previously unexplored routes in the Lake Como basin. Mostly, I'd been inactive for a few days; I needed a new, less demanding route. From Monte Bisbino to San Bernardo and back. I'd like to return to the area on a sunnier day.
