A beautiful route with many panoramic views. There are many rest areas, but the loop around Lixfeld is less well marked and has no benches.
Today we went out into nature again in the best weather. The Lahn Dill Bergland Extra Tour Hirzenhainer Höhenflug with its almost 14 km. It starts in Angelburg Lixfeld. A big compliment here! I really like to hike a lot with my dogs and have already found a lot of great spots on my doorstep. I always have an app running on circular routes in case the signs are missing or misleading, which can happen quickly. On this lap I didn't even have to look, a perfect signage. The round is fantastic. Diverse, many views, single trails and a constantly changing landscape. It never got boring. I can really recommend this round to everyone.

Historical background to the memorial march: What happened on Good Friday, April 2nd, 2010: Insurgents attacked a Kunduz PRT patrol in Isa Khel, northern Afghanistan. Three German paratroopers fell: Sergeant-Major Nils Bruns Corporal Robert Hartert Corporal Martin Augustyniak Other soldiers were sometimes seriously wounded and had to be flown out under heavy Allied fire. The Good Friday battle is one of the heaviest battles in the history of the Bundeswehr.
At the suggestion of my hiking guide, we walked the LDBP extra tour "Hirzenhainer Höhenflug" on Thursday. Was for me, with a gap of several years, the third ascent of this beautiful hiking trail. The route is still in good condition, adequately marked (i.e. for those who need it), well equipped with rest areas/benches and offers many panoramic views. Really nothing to complain about!
Played a little in the snow today. After the last mud tour, the shoes are clean again 😂
Went through the Lahn-Dill mountain range on the "Hirzenhainer Höhenflug". Simply beautiful in a wonderful landscape, through great forests and lots of flowering gorse. The path was easy to walk and there were always very beautiful views 😉 highly recommended 👍
