This route was planned by komoot.
The start of the route is uphill, gaining height along the right side of the cove. This initial part is somewhat mountainous in the sense that the path is rocky and people who suffer from extreme vertigo may have a problem. The most exposed areas are protected with wooden railings, but with good footwear, firm footing and avoiding the route on wet days (the rock is slippery) the route is suitable for everyone. The signage is excellent, PR markings every few metres and signposts at the crossroads. Once you reach the Llevant viewpoint the route is already flat and very comfortable to walk. We did the complete PR, but shortly after this viewpoint there is a first option to return to Cala Granadella leaving the route at about 4-5 kms., and a little further on another variant called Gurugu also returns to the cove. The complete route has the added attraction that the last 2-3 kms run through a ravine with varied vegetation.
A nice 14km lap. However, very demanding. Sturdy shoes required. Various surfaces, you have to be sure-footed.
The CV-453 trail is well indicated and the description can be found on the web not only in spanish but as well in french, english and german. I would recommand to do it clockwise to benefit from the only small portion with trees shadow at the end of it. During warm season, please go very early, take sun protection and bring a lot of water. This trail is amazing, enjoy !!!!
Tough walk with very steep sections and chasms. Wonderful walk!
From the picturesque Granadella Bay it goes steeply up to the plain. A place secured with a chain is very difficult for dogs; we led our Labrador up in the dog harness. Then a very relaxed walk through flowering gorse on the plain. Finally, the moderate descent into the gorge, where the path romantically follows a dry stream bed. Perfect little hike for the cold season; Not to be recommended in summer as there is no shade whatsoever (except for the last kilometer).
Not a tour for those afraid of heights and the faint of heart. Demanding mountain hike! I do not recommend anyone to march alone here, but at least in pairs. Sturdy shoes, hat, sunscreen and sufficient liquid should be ensured. Breathtaking experience - enjoy this amazing adventure everyone!
