Gravel riding

This round is the little brother of the "Gravel Devil" and ideal for a brisk half-day tour or if you want to try biking with the gravel first. Half of the tour is on beautiful gravel paths, the other half on a mix of paved paths and asphalt. Especially if you don't have that much experience with the gravel bike, it's not a disadvantage that the longest descent of this round leads over asphalt and is therefore not too much of a technical challenge.

It starts again on the promenade into the valley. You drive through Hinterglemm and continue to follow the mostly gravel paths parallel to the Saalach. You reach the small town of Lengau, at the end of which you change to the forest path up to the Lindlingalm. The Teufelswasser is located around the Lindlingalm. In addition to lots of fun and games for the little ones, there is also a Kneipp pool that breathes new life into tired cyclists' legs. So get out of your shoes and into the cool water!

After the Kneipp cure or a break on the Lindlingalm you follow the same path out of the valley. After a good three kilometers, an asphalt supply road branches off to the left up to the Walleggalm. Follow this up to the large reservoir. After that, you can take a break at the Sonnalm. Now only the descent follows, which you complete on asphalt and the way back to Saalbach on the already known bike path.

Lots of water fun for the kids. A change of clothes or swimming trunks are an advantage. Very popular when the weather is nice, and accordingly heavily visited.

The Lindlingalm is a rustic and popular alpine pasture in the valley head of Saalbach-Hinterglemm, easily accessible on foot or by the valley head train. Surrounded by lush meadows and imposing mountains, it offers traditional Pinzgau specialties, a sunny terrace, and a cozy atmosphere. It is an ideal starting point for hikes, family outings, and a perfect place to fully enjoy the alpine atmosphere.

Apparently, I accidentally generated the first ascent and descent by adding an extra point on the map - not recommended 🫣😂 Only loose gravel on the descent, very steep and with lots of curves, so you can't just roll along. The second ascent was strenuous, but worth it for the long, well-paved descent.
