A super varied tour around Mascarat. Parking is easy at the "Mirador dels penya-segats de Toix" – there are usually plenty of spaces there, even in peak season. From there, you have a fantastic view of the Toix cliffs, the "Cala del Racó del Corb" beach, and the Mediterranean Sea! Then, past the "Cala de la Barra Gran" beach to the "Punta del Mascarat" cape, with breathtaking views. Then back to the beach, including two beach bars. Later, through the "Bararc Salat" riverbed to the "Cañón del Barranc Salat" – a deep gorge with high cliffs and narrow paths. Surefootedness is required here – you'll often have to climb over rocks. Not for beginners! The gorge ends just beyond the three bridges. After that, you'll have to turn back. Shortly before the end of the tour, you'll pass the Cala del Racó del Corb beach again. There, you can decide whether to take another dip for a refreshing dip. Tip: You'll pass three beaches – all rocky or pebbled. If you want to swim, pack your swimsuit and water shoes if possible. And bring plenty of water, especially in the gorge.
Lots of wind and still time, the Mascarat Gorge is a good choice. Rock walls several hundred meters high and barely two meters wide at the bottom, impressive! It is easy to hike for a few hundred meters from below and for the way back you should walk all the way down to the sea. A real jungle path opens up there. After that we went to a headland from which you have a beautiful view 😁 The visit to a Spanish gastrobar for dinner was brilliant. We were served a 4-course meal there, hmmm delicious 😋, the salad with pear and parmesan alone was a dream 🥗
