Hiking
On this round trip you will experience wide alpine meadows, lots of nature and as a climax an incredible panorama from the top of the Pizalun. In addition, the hike is equal to a pleasure trip, because on the track there are two great restaurants.
The starting and finishing point of this hike is at the bottom station of the Tristeli ski lift in the settlement of St. Margrethenberg. Already on the first kilometers you climb up to the climax, the Pizalun. The viewing platform with the summit cross can be reached via a well-walked staircase. Standing on the rocky summit, the Sarganserland and the Bündner Herrschaft are at your feet.
From the 1,478 meter high Pizalun the path leads you down to Jägeri. Stefis Bergwirtschaft invites you to take a break on the sun terrace. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and the delicious delicacies.
Then it goes on the rarely driven Fürgglistraße through flowering meadows and along the stream back towards St. Margrethenberg. Previously, you still have the opportunity to make a stop in the quaint Buura Beizli. The mountain inn is best known for its delicious fondue.
After seven kilometers you come back to the starting point at the ski lift Tristeli and can start the journey home full and relaxed.

.. from St. Margarethenberg to the Pizalun high above the Rhine Valley with a great view of the Graubünden rule..
Dry at the beginning, increasing rain towards the end, but shortly afterwards we were in the thermal baths and sauna in Bad Ragaz... so the bad weather didn't matter at all...

I started above Bad Ragaz in the small mountain village of St. Margarethenberg. Large parking lot free of charge
First along the village street..soon it becomes a hiking trail that leads steeply through the forest..the last ascent to the summit leads over a ladder to the viewing platform and the summit cross..amazing …

Strict, because we were out again without snowshoes and had to stomp a lot of snow 🤪😂.
Now I'm a year older but I'm no wiser 🫣😅

through the small mountain village 🏘 at the fork on the left past the houses and a great path begins (easy to walk on)
