Beautiful hike recognized on July 26 with Marie-Claude. Visit of 3 waterfalls and climb of Puys de Mareilh, Angle, Barbier, Monne, La Tache. Less difficult than the Chaudefour valley. Plan a hike departure at 8H from Chapdes and 9H at Mont Dore. We took 7 hours, including meals and a few photo poses, counting 8 hours of hiking for a group.
Another route from Rother, also marked "top". It is, but we gambled on the mist. 🤔 We started out in fog and speculated that it would soon clear up. We reached the peaks and the ridge in the soup. Walking the other way around, we would have crossed the ridge without fog, but would have had the longest ascent in the greatest heat and mostly in the blazing sun. For Kiwi (+ Sabine) it was better that way. 😁👌
