Today I use a track by my colleague Manuel Romero and it starts and ends at Sant Jordi Park in Terrassa. Quick exit through the streets of Terrassa looking for dirt roads and paths and meeting a herd of 300 sheep. We cross a few torrents towards Club Ègara very close to the Parc Audiovisual de Catalunya and go in search of Matadapera. I recommend filling up with water at the fountain. With high temperatures I load 1.5L on top. Uphill with good ramps at the exit from Matadepera and on wide tracks in good condition until reaching Can Torres. Here begins a descent on very good tracks and we end up on a beautiful technical trail to the Hermitage of Our Lady of the Arenas. After the hermitage we continue along paths and climb a stream with a lot of small gravel. I have 2.4” tires. This is the torrent of the Cubell spring that feeds Riera del Ripoll. We go up strong ramps and arrive at the excellent Mirador del Puig Gavatx. It's worth deviating 400m to get here. After enjoying the 360º views of Puig Gavatx, we go back to look for the star trail of the day. It's a bit difficult to find the beginning, so you have to follow the track faithfully. Beautiful corriol quite vertical that I recommend the sleeves to protect from the closed vegetation and the telescopic stem helps quite a bit. However, you will certainly have to get off the bike at some point (20m). Arrival at the Marquet de les Roques (modernist farmhouse) where it is worth a stop to visit or simply wet your face with the water from the pond. Then we climb good tracks to the accommodation La Muntada and then by some ramps we will reach the last pass located above the neighborhood of Comabella, already downhill to Sant Llorenç Savall. Here I take the opportunity to make a sandwich after enjoying a beautiful itinerary for mountain bike lovers. There are springs in the village to charge water. After lunch in Sant Llorenç Savall very gentle climb on fast tracks often very wide of more than four meters. If we look to the right we will see beautiful views of La Mola. The descent to Castellar del Vallès is also very fast, on very fast tracks with fairly gentle slopes. We cross the town of Castellar del Vallès and exit through the Horts del Rieral and at the end we climb the Ribatallada torrent. Please note that depending on the time of year, in addition to low water, it is very gloomy. I have found ice there several times in the winter. To get out of the torrent you have to go over 700m. Arriving in the northern part of Terrassa through small lanes and crossing all the well-traveled streets, we arrive again at the Sant Jordi park and now if a photo at the spectacular Masia Freixa. Route suitable for MTB and clockwise only.
