We visited Segesta today. On the hills above Monte Barbaro lie the ruins of the city of Segesta, founded by the Elymians. The city was probably destroyed by the Vandals in the 5th century and was never repopulated. Segesta's most important sights are the almost completely preserved Doric temple and the amphitheater. The tour was very interesting.
