To have overtime off on a Monday is a great thing Used for a small tour The interplay of fog ... bright blue sky and bright sun was terrific The lap can be run well and comfortably ... just a short, extremely muddy piece at the end Moderate vertical meters Ravensberg Castle is currently open ... but the restaurant located there only on weekends Worthwhile tour 👍
There's no such thing as bad weather. We put on our rain gear and set off from the 🅿️ Borgholzhausen hiking car park along the Burg Ravensberg Trail. Teutoburg Forest...it doesn't always have to be the Sauerland. 😉 First, we went to Ravensberg Castle...small, but worth seeing, and we also took the circular path around the castle. The tower can be visited again on Sundays and public holidays starting in April, but only in conjunction with a guided tour. Afterwards, we went to the Clever Gorge, which we walk around. The adventure forest was closed due to logging work ⚠️, but the tape was also very impressive. We were very impressed by the area and will pay more attention to the Teutoburg Forest in the future. 🪨🌿🌳👍🏻
My old foot is slowly realizing that MY stubbornness is stronger than his....😜 Today is the 4th day in a row that I haven't taken ANY pain medication. My fitness is still okay...but I still need to work on my "pace" 🙈🤣
Beautiful little tour with great viewpoints.
Today I left late for my standards and couldn't decide where to go. Somehow there should be something to see and experience, on the other hand I felt like walking through the forest after all the asphalt yesterday. That applies to this round well. Officially it is called "Burg Ravensberg Weg" and you can scan the QR code on an information board for the GPX at the Clever Gorge hiking car park. I did that and started walking. But three smaller detours have been added. The round does not correspond 100% to the specified tour. All in all, exactly what I had in mind. A relaxed path, sometimes forest, sometimes gravel, a few smaller climbs, wild garlic in masses (leeeecker!) And just forest. In between, there would have been something along the way for me, even if it was just a shelter, but the only hut had a lot of wood stored. That wasn't very inviting. You're not allowed to go into the Clever Gorge, so I just took a few steps on the beaten track for a photo (other people don't seem to mind the ban, a couple even had a picnic there) and I kept going. So you have to enjoy the forest on the round. And some really nice views. I ran the loop counter-clockwise because I wanted to stop off in the Ravensberg Castle beer garden (please deduct the ca. 30 min Fassbrausepause from the time! 😉) at the end. A fine cache at the castle rounded off the tour.
A wonderful hiking area around the Ravensburg + the Barenberg - between Halle + Borgholzhausen (called 'Pium')!
