Finally a sunny day again...after days of uniform grey and rain, the urge to move was great again and there was time for it 🫠 today, after a long time, we went to Bielefeld again on the previously unknown Weser-Lutter route east of Bielefeld. I had asked myself beforehand what connects the Lutter with the Weser, which is geographically very far east. According to Wikipedia, the explanation is that the Lutter flows into the Weser via the Westphalian Aa and the Werre. Then there is the Ems-Lutter, which flows into the Ems via Gütersloh...the educational gap is thus closed 😊 First, we took the S-Bahn, line 2 to the Buschbachtal stop, just before Altenhagen. From there we went along beautiful forest and meadow paths, always along the Lutter, until it appears about 2 km from the old town through an excavation (3 years ago), before disappearing back into the earth at the art gallery, thus ending the hiking trail 😉. The ☕️ and 🍰 in the cafe of the same name right on the city's Lutter was a nice end to what was probably the last hike of the year 🫠
