Hill's Tramway Tunnel, Blorenge

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

A terrific little descent, this. Starts open and fast, before becoming bracken-strewn and joining the old Hill's Tramway.

If you keep your wits about you you can see the 'cut and cover' tunnels made in the hillside alongside the trail.

Devil's Punchbowl Pond

Highlight • Viewpoint

Tranquil, yes. An ancient pasture, now surrounded by trees once used or charcoal production. On a bike from here, the trail threads its way around the mountain in both directions. …

Craig-yr-Hafod Tramroad Descent

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Proper white-knuckle riding down an old tramway that once ran from the Blorenge. Rooty, rocky and extremely fun.

There are one or two gates, though, so keep your eyes peeled.

Trail Reviews

Going.Pottie
April 10, 2022, Wild swimming and Wild Hills

An offroad route that's would definitely favour a MTB over a gravel bike in sections. A short but challenging loop with some spectacular views, more technical descents, hike a bike uphill and potential wild swimming stops.

This route is seriously overgrown in August 22 not recommended

Blorenge is not rideable at this time of year - the path is completely overgrown. It's hard to see the path.
