Green Crag

Highlight • Viewpoint

Green Crag is a fell in the Lake District National Park in the Eskdale area. It's often hiked with Harter Fell. It's a fell in the Wainwright classification of hills and has a height of 1,604 feet (489 m). Unless you visit in a heat wave prepare to encounter wet and boggy ground on your visit, but it's worth it for the views!

Great Worm Crag

Highlight • Summit

Not the most appealing of hill names but Great Worm Crag is a great little fell in the Lake District National Park. We walked to it via Green Crag from the Devoke Water car park following a mixture of faint paths, sheep trods and over pathless lump terrain (no bad patches of bog thankfully!)

Stanley Ghyll Force Waterfall

Highlight • Waterfall

Stanley Ghyll Force on Birker Beck south of Eskdale is a 20m high waterfall in a dramatic narrow gorge.

The Woolpack Inn

Highlight • Pub

Decent parking spot to hike Green Crag. Pay at the pub or get there early as I did and just have a polite coffee in the pub on your return. I have attached an OS photo of the route for info.
