Torre della Pelosa

Highlight • Monument

The Pelosa tower, so called probably due to the high presence of sea straw, is part of the complex of fortified structures that from the Middle Ages to the 14th century made up the defensive and sighting network of the Sardinian coasts.
It can be reached by swimming or boat.

Falcone Tower

Highlight • Monument

The Falcone tower is mentioned for the first time in the map of the military engineer Rocco Cappellino, sent to Sardinia by Emperor Charles V in 1552; it was probably built in 1577. Considering its strategic position, rather than defining it as a robust or simple tower (as defense towers were called), it could be considered more of a watchtower and signaling tower. The garrison consisted of two soldiers armed with two rifles and two pushguns.

From up here, you can enjoy an extraordinary view of Asinara and the sea.

Superb walk. You can follow more coast path than komoot indicates. Best done anticlockwise so the steep climb to the tower is up rather than down.
