This route was planned by komoot.
At 2069, la Maroma, also known as the Tejeda, is the highest peak of the Sierras of Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park. Despite being October, it was hot and I took a wrong turn a couple of times. With breaks, it took me about 10hours return. Not too bad considering the temperature, the lack of hiking sticks, the aching knees, the length and elevation profile of the trek. The terrain is relatively easy with some steep and rocky parts. I found this description particularly useful https://andaluciahiking.com/la-maroma-hike-malaga/?expand_article=1
Distance 21 km / 1200 vertical meters / fantastic but very difficult / been on the road for 9 hours
