This route was planned by komoot.
Actually, I had planned a circular route, that is, with the cable car up and down again on foot. Komoot shows paths, but many were not to be seen on site. So we're back down with the cable car. The area up here is fantastic. Something reminded me of the Dolomites.
A rocky loop among the cliffs in the central massif of the Picos de Europa National Park. The tour runs from the upper cable car station of El Cable in Fuente De (uphill and starting at €30) toward the Cabana Veronica mountain hut. The path is very steep and rocky, but offers breathtaking views of the Picos de Europa peaks from the Cantabrian side. Unfortunately, the marked mountain lakes were currently dry and barely visible. Nevertheless, it is a worthwhile hike.
