Vom Parkplatz aus geht es zunächst entlang der Straße, bis man den Strand des Kollersees erreicht – ein beliebtes Erholungsgebiet mit ruhiger Atmosphäre. Weiter führt der Weg über den langen Damm, der immer wieder schöne Ausblicke auf den See und das angrenzende Naturschutzgebiet bietet. Der Rückweg verläuft größtenteils direkt am Rhein entlang, mit weiten Blicken über das Wasser und viel Natur drumherum.
