Das war heute unser Auftakt unseres Vinschgau Urlaubs. Wir sind ca. 1 Stunde nach Katharinaberg ins Schnalstal gefahren und von dort aufgestiegen zum Meraner Höhenweg. Dort ging es weiter bis zu unser urigen Einkehr Hofschank Wald am höchsten Punkt des Tages.
Der Rückweg verlief lange Zeit über Asphalt, bis wir nochmals steile und anstrengende 2 Kilometer vor uns hatten. Das schwierige daran waren die Bedingungen: Steil und nass und rutschig. Nachdem wir das bewältigt hatten ging es bequem zum Parkplatz im Ort zurück.
