Die Elbquelle liegt im Riesengebirge in Tschechien, genauer auf der Elbwiese (Labská louka) auf einer Höhe von 1386 m über dem Meeresspiegel, nordwestlich des Ortes Špindlerův Mlýn (Spindlermühle). Dort befindet sich die symbolische Quelle, ein mit Steinen gefasster Wasserort. Die eigentliche, in Mooren versteckte Quelle ist aus Gründen des Naturschutzes unzugänglich.
