A crossroads for many Resegone routes. Very famous for being the reference point for the centenary via ferrata.

In front of the (private) house is a large meadow offering a panoramic view. It's a great place for lunch and relaxation. On October 25, 2025, we hiked a trail that leads from here to Alpe Cetra. In some sections, the trail is very narrow, while in others it's quite steep. The wires, probably installed for safety, are now worn and loose, but with caution, the trail can be negotiated without too much difficulty.

Challenging hike from Mandello del Lario, but amazing view waiting for you at the end of the trail. Great food, cold beer. Another amazing opportunity to enjoy some trekking on the alps

We were treated terribly, even though we understood the busy day and the inadequate food planning. We called the day before to book and were told that it was not necessary and that the kitchen would be open until 3 pm, we went up with our 6 year old daughter and at 2 pm they told us that the kitchen was closing because they had run out of food. We were wrong not to bring anything from the valley, after 2 and a half hours of walking we had to continue for another two hours to Erve to stop for food. Even continuing to take out dishes, for those who had arrived first, we had asked for even just a slice of cheese or salami or milk for a 6 year old girl. In particular, one of the girls at the cash register was very rude.

Runners frequently praise the diverse landscapes, from tranquil lakeside promenades to challenging mountain ascents, and the consistently dramatic views of Lake Como and the surrounding Alps.
Absolutely. Lecco's prime location on Lake Como means many routes offer stunning lake views. The Lungolago di Lecco (Lungolario Isonzo) is a popular choice for its continuous lakeside panorama. Additionally, higher mountain trails like those on Monte Resegone provide expansive, breathtaking vistas over Lake Como and the entire region.
While the Lungolago can be popular, for quieter runs, consider the extensive paths around the Lakes of Garlate and Olginate, or the various sections of the Adda River Trail. These areas offer beautiful natural settings and are generally less crowded than the immediate city waterfront, especially during off-peak hours.
Some mountain trails, including those leading towards Monte Resegone, can be accessed from areas like Piani d'Erna, which is reachable by cable car from Lecco. This provides a convenient starting point for high-altitude runs and offers stunning views even before you begin your ascent.
