Small church in the community directly on the water

The little church is truly worth seeing; right next to it is a beautiful lawn with a table and a small stream – a pleasant place to rest. The chapel dates back to the 17th century; the site was chosen because, according to legend, a hermit named Salaün was buried here under "his" tree in the 14th century.

My recommendation would be to definitely visit the museum - it's very interesting from a historical perspective.

Bear in mind damages from last year's storm are still very visible, thus in many places, one is forced to jump over branches and tree trunk, or to leave the trail to go around them. Progression can be slow.

To view the final resting place of these naval ships from the beach, walk from the village of Landevennec towards “Monastery de Saint Gwénolé". You pass the parking lot and when you have just crossed it and are in front of the gate, you will see a cross on your right. stand there and go down to the right of a path. That path leads you to the beach. There I even found engine parts in the tide line. The location was first used in 1840. At that time it concerned reserve ships. In WWII the base was used by the Germans and after the war it became a place where ships - waiting for disassembly - were moored.
