In the Gorge du Fier, the river of the same name has, over time, devoured a deep ravine through the limestone. Despite entrance and visitor masses it is worth a visit. Heavy precipitation can lead to a rise in water in the gorge, which can be seen impressively on a scale where particularly high water levels are recorded. It is informed on boards in detail about the origin in French and English. There is also a story for the children, which also refers to the directly adjacent (1km) Chateau the Montrottier.
