Tonight I went north out of the park and the trails were pretty rooty and pitted, pretty rough. It is still a beautiful park and runs right along the river.

Nice to look at the ski hill in the summer, it's so quiet when it's not ski season. Although it used to be loud when they were running the lifts for mountain biking.

They are currently working on a big section of the trail, this is where they have it closed off. But it's open from here to the Old West Main Trailhead.

This was were the 2026 DAMN race finished. I'm not sure if this is private land or a park, it has a bunch of cool cement animal sculptures and great views of Red Wing.

The river is pretty fast here, which can make launching in a group a bit tricky, but you'll catch up again as you go down the river.

Barely any water coming over the dam tonight. Still then it's interesting to see what the rocks and plants look like when they don't have water crashing over them.

The Cannon is very wide at this point. There is also a boat launch / river access along the road here.
