Great trail, can get busy as you get into Rochester, and there are several bridges over highways and such that I'm guessing were not part of the original train line, that would be a lot of climbing for them.

Nice big parking lot in the small town of Douglas very near Rochester. Porta-potty, picnic table, and such a great trail in each direction.

A nice rest area with a pit toilet, garbage, recycling, picnic table, and access to the Cannon River

Nice access point for Skiing. Even better if you can leave a car here and ski down from Cannon Falls
