Tips from the Community

Alex
September 8, 2026, McIntyre Riverside Trail

The McIntyre Riverside Trail is a riverside 4.3 kilometre out-and-back pathway in Thunder Bay. There are nice views of the McIntyre River while walking, running or biking through classic northern Ontario woods. The unpaved path has some exposed tree roots and patches of dirt that can get slick when wet or icy. There is a stream crossing that requires a small, one-meter hop across the small waterway. Keep in mind there is a local, vocal murder of crows that has been reported to be up to 60 birds in size that hang out in trees overhead.
