I'm not so fond of the many dogs, but I am very fond of the history of this place. Let us remember the steadfast owner of the house with honor.

The bridge is quite narrow, but it's all manageable. Enjoy nature in the city.

A little paradise for small children is right around the corner. Children can wade barefoot in the Kollau River and play in the water. There's no danger of sunburn, as there are large trees all around.

A design classic. Unfortunately not in the wild but fenced in.

In the middle of the Niendorf enclosure there is a large fallow deer park. Around 30 deer and stags live here. The animals can be observed particularly well from the observation platform. Sometimes they even come very close. The enclosure has been generously expanded so that the animals have more peace and quiet during the rutting season and during breeding. Very important: Please do not feed them! This harms the wild animals.

The Mutzenbecher Villa in Niendorfer Gehege stood empty for a long time and was in danger of falling into disrepair. Thanks to the commitment of many Hamburg residents, the brick building was able to be preserved. The summer house of insurance director Hermann Mutzenbecher, built around 1900, has been extensively restored in recent years and now serves as an educational and meeting place. Schoolchildren, craftsmen and students are breathing new life into the listed building.
