The sculpture Blickkontakt by Jonas Kötz (2003): The sculpture by Jonas Kötz is made from a so-called "Dalben" from the Port of Hamburg. Dalben are piles driven into the harbor floor for mooring or fending off ships or for marking the fairway. Originally, it was intended as a double figure; a twin sculpture stood in the eastern pond until the wood weathered too much after twenty years. Jonas Kötz was born in Hamburg in 1965 and lives and works on the Elbe island of Krautsand. A great cycling and hiking route leads along here amidst beautiful nature 💚. A visit is recommended and interesting at the same time 👍🏼.
