I usually take this down the water, and then after visiting down town if I'm heading back to Spring Lake Park, I go up the street, it's a steeper hill, but shorter, and I'd rather do that.

Depending on which way you're going, this climb delivers you from river-level to the town of Hastings, or gives you an easy ride back down to the water.

It'll be nice if they can smooth out this trail at some point, it's part of the BuMpY tEn MiLe LoOp around Hastings, which is a cool loop, but can be hard to follow for out of towners and it is rough. I heard they got some funding to put up better signs and stuff though.

This new bike path was opened in 2020 and runs between Harriet Island Regional Park and Kaposia Landing Fields in South St. Paul. It adds to the already impressive network of bike paths in the area, and can be ridden in a loop if connected with River to River Greenway and Lilydale Regional Park Trail.
