Nice overlook, especially nice after the hill climb for a water break

I usually take this down the water, and then after visiting down town if I'm heading back to Spring Lake Park, I go up the street, it's a steeper hill, but shorter, and I'd rather do that.

Set amidst a lovely woodland, Powers Lake is a great place to visit in Woodbury. At the right time of day you can have the place basically to yourself, and the sunsets are excellent.

Depending on which way you're going, this climb delivers you from river-level to the town of Hastings, or gives you an easy ride back down to the water.

It'll be nice if they can smooth out this trail at some point, it's part of the BuMpY tEn MiLe LoOp around Hastings, which is a cool loop, but can be hard to follow for out of towners and it is rough. I heard they got some funding to put up better signs and stuff though.

Colby Lake is a medium lake in the center of Colby Lake Park. There is a paved trail that runs the perimeter of the water, so it is a great place for a run to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
