Monumental, late Baroque church of St. Clement from the years 1769–1772, rising to the top of Klimont Hill (302–305 m a.s.l.). It is the most famous symbol of Lędziny, visible even in the city's coat of arms. The temple stands on the site of former wooden churches (the oldest from the 12th century), and the hill itself was a pre-Christian place of Slavic worship (the so-called Górka Piorunowa). The approach to the church leads along a characteristic, paved avenue (Czesława Miłosza Street). From the top, there is a phenomenal, open panorama – with good visibility, you can admire the beautiful line of the Beskids from here. A must-see point of every trip around the Bieruń-Lędziny district!

The absolute heart and landmark of Lędziny (302–305 m a.s.l.), immortalized on the city's coat of arms. At the top stands the historic, late-Baroque church of St. Clement from the 18th century, built on the site of former wooden temples and an ancient Slavic cult (the hill was previously called Górka Piorunowa). A little lower down, by the dirt path, it is worth seeing the charming "Pod Lipkami" chapel. This is one of the best and most easily accessible viewpoints in the area – in favorable weather, a beautiful panorama of the Beskids unfolds from here. The ascent to the very top leads along a paved avenue (Czesław Miłosz Street). A must-see point on the route of every cyclist and hiker!

Very picturesque cycle path along the Vistula river embankment

A superb cycle path which is, among other things, the EuroVelo 4 which crosses Poland. I realize that I can take it all the way to Krakow, my final destination, but the wind is blowing hard today and the path is elevated, so I am not at all sheltered from the wind. I decide to leave it further on to follow my initial itinerary.

I was driving from Oświęcim, the loop around Lake Papry is a must, plus you also have to see a few attractions along the way: Promnice Hunting Lodge, Hotel Piramida...
