as of 1st of March 2026 - mostly dry except for the section between Świętokrzyski bridge and the pedestrian crossing. really muddy there, but passable with enough skill and wide enough tires :) past Sląsko-Dąbrowski bridge the surface is very good, just the right amount of wet to be hard packed and neither sand nor water are a problem. the wind wasn't an issue as well: it was up to 8 m/s gusts WNW, so from the side of the river. in +7°C merino base layer, soft shell and fleece vest were more than enough. just cycling shorts and cotton trousers on top for the bottom were good too. here's to full of cycling spring, my fellow cyclists 🚴🏽

A double series of city walls around Old Warsaw, built in the 13th–16th centuries, rebuilt in the years 1950–1963 and partly later. The best preserved sections run parallel to Podwale Street from the Royal Castle to the Barbican and further to the Vistula escarpment.

The complex was built on the site of the demolished buildings of the Military Graphic Works, and within its area there is a spacious square with elements of small architecture, greenery, a lake and a cascading stream. The design took into account the protection of nature - the linden trees growing along the street are natural monuments, which influenced the way construction works were carried out. Plac Europejski, where Warsaw Spire is located, was named in 2014. Warsaw Spire has won numerous awards, including "Outstanding Architectural Project of the Year in Poland" in 2011 and the award for the best office investment at the MIPIM trade fair in Cannes in 2017. The complex was also recognized for the development of the public space of Plac Europejski.

The Jan Karski Boulevard is a space in Warsaw, located on the left bank of the Vistula, from the Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge to the Gdański Bridge. The boulevard is named after Jan Karski (born Jan Kozielewski), a lawyer, diplomat and courier of the Polish Underground State. Karski witnessed the Holocaust and reported on the situation of Jews, and also visited the Warsaw Ghetto and the extermination camp in Bełżec. After the war, he remained in the United States, where he lectured at Georgetown University. He died in 2000.

Gdański Bridge – a two-level steel bridge over the Vistula River in Warsaw, part of the city centre bypass. It was built in 1957–1959 on the pillars of the first bridge under the Citadel.

The Barbican in Warsaw, built around 1548 as part of the defensive walls of the Old Town, was intended to secure the New Town Gate. Designed by John Baptist of Venice, it had two storeys with embrasures and a covered porch. Due to the development of artillery, it quickly became outdated and played a defensive role only once – in 1656 during the Swedish Deluge. Partially demolished in the 18th century, it was incorporated into the city development in the 19th century. Rebuilt in 1952–1954, it currently houses a seasonal exhibition of the Warsaw Museum devoted to the city's defensive walls.
